DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF JULY 2011, I MET WITH THE PA DEPT OF HEALTH, AT THE NURSING HOME, CONCERNING THE "MISDIAGNOSIS" OF RITA, ASKING THEM TO CHECK THE MEDICAL RECORDS...INSTEAD OF CHECKING, THEY ASSUMED I WAS WRONG...SO ON 9 JULY 2011, I WAS BANNED FROM THE NURSING HOME (at Pa Dept Of Health's suggestion and authorization), AND THERE WERE NO MORE ATTEMPTS AT WEANING, AS THEY CONTINUED HYPERVENTI;LATING RITA AT 12 BPM 600 ML TIDAL VOLUME 24/7 TILL HER DEATH AT AGH ON 9-10-11...PREVIOUS 3 WEANINGS ONLY FAILED BECAUSE THEY GAVE HER PURE OXYGEN THROUGH A TRACH-MASK EACH TIME RITA WAS TOTALLY OFF THE VENT, ACCORDING TO AN ANOXIC CONDITION WHICH NEVER EXISTED, AND PURE OXYGEN HYPERVENTILATES A HEALTHY PERSON WITH NO ANOXIC BRAIN INJURY...Indeed Rita was forced to wear special gloves her whole time at the nursing home (unless hyperventilated into submission or overcome with PE or drugged up with antiseizures for her bucking of the unneeded vent), because she would disconnect either the hyperventilative trach tube or hyperventilative trach mask, AS SHE ALWAYS KNEW WHAT WAS HAPPENNING...She begged me to take her home many times, but I didn't fully understand the scam being perpetrated on her, until it was too late...Note that when the ventilator was set to 8 bpm or lower (only at MY insistance, at hospital or nursing home), Rita communicated with everyone, as best she could (being gagged by a trach and/or left untreated for her unmonitored presenting pulmonary edema)...Note that she could (and did) scream (asking for me or her brother) down the hallways, when Rita's trach-cuff lost its seal and air could get through her vocal cords...
